Ex-UASC Staff Worldwide is a network representing former employees of the United Arab Shipping Company (UASC), a prominent maritime and logistics company based in the Middle East. UASC was founded in 1976, originally jointly established by six Gulf Cooperation Council states: Bahrain, Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. It grew to become the largest container shipping line in the Middle East, operating a fleet servicing over 275 ports worldwide, with expertise in containerized cargo, refrigerated goods, and specialized cargo transportation.

UASC was headquartered in Dubai and had a strong presence across global markets with nearly 185 offices worldwide. The company was known for its advanced fleet, including some of the largest and most environmentally friendly containerships at the time. However, in 2017, UASC merged with the German shipping giant Hapag-Lloyd, which further strengthened Hapag-Lloyd’s position in the global shipping industry while marking the end of UASC as an independent operator.
