Hala is a joint venture between the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) of Dubai and Careem. It was launched in 2019 to provide a smarter and more efficient way of booking Dubai’s official taxis through the Careem app. Hala integrates government-regulated taxi services with app-based convenience, making transportation more accessible, affordable, and transparent for riders across the city.

Over the years, Hala has grown rapidly, completing millions of rides and maintaining a high customer satisfaction rating. It supports a fleet of thousands of taxis and captains, offering options like Hala Taxi, Hala Kids, and Hala Max, with efforts underway to expand electric vehicle services in line with Dubai’s green mobility goals.

Hala also introduced features like fare transparency, real-time tracking, flexible payment options, and booking through WhatsApp to enhance customer experience. As a key player in Dubai’s urban mobility ecosystem, Hala continues to innovate and expand its services across the UAE.
