Company Overview

Arabian Chemical Terminals Abu Dhabi (ACTAD), established in 2020, is the UAE’s first commercial chemical tank farm strategically located at Khalifa Port in Abu Dhabi. As part of ACT Terminals KSA, ACTAD expands the group’s footprint by developing state-of-the-art bulk liquid storage and distribution facilities designed to handle a wide spectrum of liquid chemicals, gases, oils, and petrochemicals. The terminal features 40 fully commissioned tanks with a total storage capacity of 100,000 cubic meters, including carbon steel and insulated stainless steel tanks equipped with advanced heating, cooling, and nitrogen blanketing systems, enabling safe handling and storage of sensitive products.

ACTAD’s terminal benefits from Khalifa Port’s multi-modal connectivity, linking maritime, road, and future railway networks to serve the UAE’s industrial zones such as KEZAD, ZonesCorp, ICAD, and neighboring hubs like Jebel Ali and Ruwais. The terminal supports import, export, storage, and break-bulk services with dedicated pipelines, truck loading stations, ISO tank handling, and a 16-meter deep berth for large marine tankers. ACTAD also aims to decarbonize logistics by employing innovative product transfer equipment and environmentally sustainable operations, further complemented by value-added services including drumming, ISO filling, fuel bunkering, MARPOL slops reception, ADR-qualified trucking, and an independent laboratory for product testing and sampling.

Founded by three Saudi family-owned companies in 1985, Arabian Chemical Terminals (ACT) has a strong legacy in the region’s petrochemical logistics and continues to drive industrial growth through its expansion in Abu Dhabi. ACTAD operates under core values emphasizing safety, integrity, commitment, teamwork, and agility, ensuring operational excellence and environmental responsibility. The terminal’s advanced infrastructure and strategic location position it as a key hub for liquid bulk logistics in the UAE and the broader Gulf Cooperation Council region, facilitating seamless international trade and supporting emerging energy sectors like hydrogen and biofuels alongside traditional chemical products.
