CMA Terminals Khalifa Port is a modern container terminal in the United Arab Emirates, established in 2022 as a joint venture between CMA CGM Group and AD Ports Group. Strategically located at Khalifa Port, it serves as a critical hub connecting the UAE with Asia, Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and the Indian Subcontinent. The terminal offers an annual capacity of 1.8 million TEUs (twenty-foot equivalent units), positioning itself as a major facilitator of global trade and maritime logistics in the region. The terminal features advanced infrastructure, including an 800-meter quay wall, 18.5-meter depth berths, eight state-of-the-art Ship to Shore cranes with twin-lift technology, and a fleet of eco-friendly electric Rubber Tyred Gantry cranes (e-RTGs). It leverages cutting-edge automation and digital technology such as the latest NAVIS N4 Terminal Operating System (TOS), automated gates with Optical Character Recognition (OCR), Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) truck tracking, and integrated port community systems to ensure seamless, efficient, and paperless operations. This technologically advanced setup enhances cargo handling speed, operational precision, and cost efficiency, while supporting sustainable port operations with a focus on reducing environmental impact. CMA Terminals Khalifa Port plays a key role in boosting Abu Dhabi’s and the UAE’s connectivity and economic diversification goals. It is directly linked to local road networks and the UAE’s national Etihad Rail system, enhancing multimodal transport flows for cargo distribution across the region.
